Solution
How to configure your mailbox with Microsoft Outlook 2010, 2013 and 2016 (some field or buttons could be labelled differently in your MS Outlook version, but you will sure be able to deduct the meaning from the description):
1. Start MS Outlook.
2. Click on the "File" tab.
3. In the section "Account information" click on the button "Add account".
4. Choose "Manual configuration or additional server types ".
5. Click on the "Continue" button.
6. Select "POP or IMAP".
7. Click on the button "Continue".
8. Enter your data into the fields as follows:
"Your name" = Enter what you want the recipient of a mail to see as your sender's name. You can enter anything you want, e.g. your first and last name, your company name or both.
"E-mail address" = Enter your sender's e-mail address.
"Account type" = Select "POP3".
"Incoming mail server" = Enter the host name of your host, e.g. "elbe.bitpalast.net" or "rhein.bitpalast.net". Your Host may be named differently. See your server set-up mail to find out your host's name. Do not add anything to that name, enter the hostname only. No "www", no "pop3", no "pop" or anything else before or after the name.
"Outgoing mail server" = Enter the host name of your host again.
"User name" = Enter the user name (=login name) of your e-mail account. In a Bitpalace Business Booster this is normally the e-mail address including domain, e.g. me@mydomain.com.
"Password" = Enter the password of the mailbox account.
9. Check the "Save password" field, so that you will not need to enter the password each time you download mail.
10. The field "Requires login with secure password authentication (SPA)" must not be checked.
11. Click on the "More settings" button.
12. Click on the "Outgoing mail server" tab.
13. Check "The outgoing mail server requires authentication".
14. Click on the "Extended" tab.
15. Check the field "Server requires encrypted connection (SSL)" and enter port number 995 for the incoming mail server (if the software has not done that for you anyway).
16. From the list "Use the following encrypted connection type" choose "TLS". You can enter the port number 25, 465 or 587. Some LANs do not support all ports.
17. In the "Transmission" section you can define, how long e-mails that you have downloaded shall remain on the server. If you want to access your mails from several devices, you may want to leave then on the server for a few days.
18. Click the "OK" button.
19. Click the "Continue" button.
20. Confirm possible account testing dialogs and close all remaining windows with "OK".
